Our Pastors: Phil & Tamiya Newman

God planted the vision for Epico Church in the hearts of Phil and Tamiya Newman. Through faithfulness, obedience and a passion for people, that vision has grown into the Erina-based church community it is today.

As Senior Pastors of Epico Church, Phil and Tamiya bring decades of ministry experience, strong leadership and a genuine love for helping people discover hope, purpose and belonging through Jesus.

Phil Newman

Phil has lived on the Central Coast his entire life. He has always carried a deep passion to help people know Jesus and discover the purpose God has placed within them.

From serving in youth, kids and young adults ministry to leading churches, Phil has developed a unique ability to communicate faith in a practical, authentic and relatable way.

He is passionate about equipping people, developing leaders and creating environments where everyone feels safe to explore faith and take their next step.

Tamiya Newman

Tamiya has a remarkable heart for people and a deep desire to reflect God’s generosity in every situation.

Her compassion, authenticity and genuine care have helped shape the culture of Epico Church. She believes every person deserves to feel welcomed, valued and loved, regardless of their story or the challenges they face.
