Giving
A Generous Community
At Epico Church, we believe generosity is part of who we are.
Our generosity is not just about money — it is about recognising that everything we have has been entrusted to us by God and choosing to use it to bless others.
Our core scripture is 2 Corinthians 9:6-11, which teaches us that God gives each of us seed to sow. This seed can take many forms: our time, our words, our skills, our wisdom, our encouragement, our resources — and our finances.
God invites us to take what He has placed in our hands and invest it in the lives of others.
Biblical Tithing and Cultural Generosity
At Epico Church, we believe in biblical tithing — honouring God with the first fruits of our increase as an act of obedience, gratitude and faith.
We also believe in cultural generosity — creating a community where generosity becomes part of who we are. A community that looks beyond ourselves and uses the seed God has given us to make a difference in the lives of others.
Together, we want to help people, strengthen our community and share Jesus as much as possible.
Giving Financially at Epico
Giving financially is one expression of generosity, and we want it to always be something that comes from a willing heart.
Here are some things we believe are important:
1. Giving is your choice
Your giving is completely free-will and is always your personal decision. There is no pressure or expectation.
2. Giving does not determine your place at Epico
Your generosity does not affect the welcome, care or ministry you receive at Epico Church. You are valued because you belong — not because of what you contribute financially.
3. Giving is private
Your giving is confidential. Ps Phil and the eldership team do not know what individuals give.
4. Giving makes a tangible difference
Epico Church is able to exist and serve our community because of the faithful generosity of people who choose to give.
Your generosity helps us create spaces where people can belong, grow, receive support and encounter Jesus.
5. We value accountability and transparency
The finances of Epico Church are managed by a qualified accounts manager/bookkeeper, governed by our board and accountable through reporting requirements with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
6. We welcome questions
We believe healthy churches are transparent churches. If you would like to understand more about how finances are managed or where money is invested, you are always welcome to make an appointment with Ps Phil or one of our elders.
Thank You For Your Generosity
Thank you for partnering with us.
Every act of generosity — whether through finances, time, encouragement or service — helps us continue to be a generous community that loves people and shares Jesus.
Together, let’s help people and share Jesus as much as possible.
