The Alpha Course
Alpha Course
Got questions about life, faith and what it all means?
Alpha is a relaxed, welcoming space to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and have honest conversations — without pressure or judgement.
Each session includes good food, a short talk exploring an aspect of the Christian faith, and plenty of time to discuss, question and share your thoughts. You don’t need to know anything about Christianity, and you don’t have to agree with what you hear.
Whether you’re curious about faith, have questions you’ve never had the chance to ask, or simply want to explore what Christianity is all about, you’re welcome at Alpha.
Come along, grab some food, meet some good people and explore the big questions together.
5pm Sundays – dinner provided
18 October – 29 November

What happens each session?
1. Connect — Food & friendship
Each session begins around the table. People share a meal or something to drink, get to know each other and build friendships in a relaxed environment. Alpha describes it as being a bit like a dinner party.
2. Content — Explore a big question
You watch a short video that explores a different question about life, faith and Christianity. Topics include questions like Who is Jesus?, Is there more to life than this? and How can I have faith?
3. Conversation — Talk about it
After the video, everyone has an opportunity to discuss what they’ve heard. People can ask questions, share their own experiences and hear different perspectives. There are no off-limits topics and no wrong questions, and there’s no pressure to agree or believe anything.
Every Alpha night is simple: eat, watch, talk.
We’ll share a meal together, watch a short video exploring one of life’s big questions, and then spend time talking about it. You can ask anything, say what you really think, or simply listen. There’s no pressure, no expectation that you already know anything about Christianity, and no question that’s off limits.
